HOW DO YOU GET TO THERE?
Jagatsukh in Manali will be the drop-off and pick-up location. The cost of the cab fare is not included in the package. However, we can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from Manali’s bus station. Trekkers can split the cab fare. This is for communication purposes.
Bhuntar is the nearest airport to Hampta Pass. It is located 11 km from Kullu, and 52 kilometers away from Manali. Taxis from Bhuntar to Manali cost around Rs 1000. Indian Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines and Jagson Airlines have flights to Chandigarh and Delhi. You will need to fly through Delhi to get to Manali.
There are two choices: Chandigarh or Delhi. Both Chandigarh and Delhi are easily connected to all the major airports in India.
You can reach Hampta Pass via road by taking an overnight bus between Delhi and Chandigarh. Manali can be reached by road from major cities. The roads are generally in good condition but there can be landslides during monsoon season. A bus ride from Delhi to Manali may take as long as 14 hours. The journey from Chandigarh or Manali will take at most 9 hours.
We don’t recommend traveling by train as Jogindernagar is five hours away. You will need to travel again by bus/cab.
