Introduction:
Dayara Bugyal is considered one of India’s most beautiful meadows. “Bugyal”, in the local dialect, refers to high-altitude pasture land. Dayara Bugyal, because of its highland meadows is one of Uttarakhand’s most beautiful treks. Dayara Bugyal is an easy trek that’s suitable for beginners.
Overview:
Dayara Bugyal is located in Uttarkashi District Uttrakhand at an elevation greater than 10,000 feet/3048 meters. This popular trek is located in the Garhwal Himalayas. It features thick forests that open up to a vast green meadow.
The trek from Dayara Bugyal starts in Barsu. Trekkers have the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of a flowing stream and can stop for photographs. Dayara Bugyal is reached via a dense forest of oak and maple trees. Except for a happy-go-lucky mountain dog, there are no other animals. Barnala Tal has many camping options. The forest becomes less dense as you climb higher, and what remains is Dayara Bugyal’s sprawling, undulating, lush meadow.
Dayara Bugyal Trek’s best season is between April and June (summer), and December to February (winter). (October to December):
- The summer weather is mild. It is neither too hot nor too cold. The peaks can be seen during the summer. Light woolens are recommended.
- Monsoon: There is no better time to trek than the Monsoon because roads can become impassible due to landslides. However, the breathtaking views are worth it.
- Winter brings heavy snowfall to the region, making it the ideal time for trekking.
Dayara Bugyal Trekking Tour Highlights
